1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how CHIPER S.A.S. ("Chiper") accesses, collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes the personal data of the delivery drivers ("riders") who use the Chiper Repartidores mobile app to manage and perform deliveries, in the countries where Chiper operates (Colombia, Chile, and Venezuela).
2. Data We Collect and How We Use It
- Location (precise and approximate). We access and collect the device's GPS location while the app is in use during a delivery route. We use it to show the delivery stops on the map, calculate and open turn-by-turn navigation to each store, show the rider on the operations map, and estimate route times. We do not collect location when the app is closed.
- Camera and photos. Images the rider captures or attaches — used to record the merchant's signature, proof of delivery, and evidence of incidents during the route.
- Account and identity. User identifier, name, and sign-in credentials — used to authenticate the rider and link them to their routes and deliveries.
- Device identifiers and push notifications. Push notification token and technical device identifiers — used to send route-assignment and operational alerts.
- Operational data. Assigned orders, amounts collected, payment methods, and delivery statuses — used to operate the delivery, payment, and reconciliation flow.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
The app does not access your contacts, your calendar, or your microphone. It does not collect sensitive data (health, biometrics, political or religious beliefs). We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. How We Share Data
- Service providers: Google Firebase (authentication and notifications) and Chiper's cloud infrastructure, which process data on Chiper's behalf and instructions.
- Maps/navigation: when you open "Get directions", the destination is passed to the maps app you choose (Google Maps or Waze).
- Authorities: when required by law or a competent authority.
5. International Data Transfers
Some providers (e.g., Google) may store information on servers outside the country of origin. Chiper requires these processors to maintain protection levels equivalent to applicable law.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to operate deliveries and to comply with legal, accounting, and contractual obligations. After that period, the data is deleted or anonymized.
7. Data Deletion — How to Request It
You can request the deletion of your account and your personal data at any time by emailing legal@chiper.co with the subject "Data Deletion Request — Chiper Repartidores". We will process the request within the legally required timeframes, except for information we are legally required to retain.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access control, confidentiality agreements) to protect the information against unauthorized access.
9. Your Rights
You may access, update, correct, and request deletion of your data, and withdraw consent, under applicable data-protection law (Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012 and equivalents). To exercise these rights, contact legal@chiper.co.
10. Children
The app is intended for adults involved in delivery operations. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version will be published at this same URL with the update date.

1. Alcance
Esta Política de Privacidad explica cómo CHIPER S.A.S. ("Chiper") accede, recopila, usa, comparte, conserva y elimina los datos personales de los repartidores que usan la app Chiper Repartidores para gestionar y ejecutar entregas, en los países donde Chiper opera (Colombia, Chile y Venezuela).
2. Datos que recopilamos y para qué
- Ubicación (precisa y aproximada / Location). Accedemos y recopilamos la ubicación GPS del dispositivo mientras la app está en uso durante una ruta, para mostrar las paradas en el mapa, navegar a cada tienda, ubicar al repartidor en el mapa de operaciones y estimar tiempos. No recopilamos la ubicación con la app cerrada.
- Cámara y fotos. Firma del tendero, comprobante de entrega y evidencia de novedades.
- Identidad y cuenta. Identificador, nombre y credenciales — para autenticar al repartidor.
- Identificadores de dispositivo y notificaciones. Token de notificaciones e identificadores técnicos.
- Datos de la operación. Pedidos, montos cobrados, métodos de pago y estados de entrega.
3. Datos que NO recopilamos
La app no accede a tus contactos, tu calendario ni tu micrófono. No recopilamos datos sensibles. No vendemos datos personales ni los usamos para publicidad de terceros.
4. Con quién compartimos los datos
Proveedores tecnológicos (Google Firebase, infraestructura de Chiper), apps de mapas al usar "Cómo llegar" (Google Maps o Waze), y autoridades cuando la ley lo exija.
5. Transferencia internacional
Algunos proveedores (p. ej. Google) pueden almacenar información fuera del país de origen, con niveles de protección equivalentes a la normativa aplicable.
6. Conservación de datos (Data Retention)
Conservamos los datos solo por el tiempo necesario para operar las entregas y cumplir obligaciones legales, contables y contractuales; luego se eliminan o anonimizan.
7. Eliminación de datos — cómo solicitarla (Data Deletion)
Puedes solicitar la eliminación de tu cuenta y tus datos personales escribiendo a legal@chiper.co con el asunto "Eliminación de datos — Chiper Repartidores". La atenderemos en los plazos legales, salvo la información que debamos conservar por ley.
8. Seguridad
Medidas técnicas y organizativas razonables (cifrado en tránsito, control de acceso) para proteger la información.
9. Tus derechos
Acceder, actualizar, rectificar y suprimir tus datos, y revocar la autorización (Ley 1581 de 2012 y equivalentes). Escribí a legal@chiper.co.
10. Menores de edad
La app está dirigida a personas mayores de edad vinculadas a la operación de reparto.
11. Cambios
Podemos actualizar esta política; la versión vigente se publica en esta misma URL.
